What is
Project MARC's WORK
about?
Project MARC* provides medical, educational and technical support to remote communities in the Vanuatu archipelago which have had little or no outside support since the former "New Hebrides" became independent in 1980.
In five years of learning to reach these communities by sailing vessel, to build small clinics and to train village health workers, remarkable progress has been achieved, with several clinics now being operated entirely by local health workers.
MARC@WORK Movies
The MARC@WORK movies on this webpage were produced by Peter Brouwer and Sylvia Steinert from video footage shot while traveling with Project MARC* volunteer teams in September of 2005. Sylvia & Peter, experienced cruisers with extensive backgrounds in AV productions, made these instructive and informative videos for Project MARC volunteers and supporters.
You will be fascinated by the movies on this page, which provide a rare glimpse of life in the remote outer island villages of the Vanuatu archipelago, of the work being done by our intrepid volunteer teams and of the progress being achieved.
